A Catholic priest in the Co Antrim town of Larne has said has had no option but to advise some of his parishioners to leave the town after they have come under repeated sectarian attack.

Fr Archie Molloy, who is parish priest in the town, said some families have been left with no alternative to moving out after continued pipe bomb attacks by loyalists.

The RUC said it has investigated 78 such attacks in Larne over the past year, two of which have come within the last 48 hours.

The Housing Executive confirmed that ten families have asked to move from their homes since Christmas.
