M&S to open second Cork store

Marks & Spencer is set to open a second store in Munster, situated in the Wilton Shopping Centre just outside Cork City.

Marks & Spencer is set to open a second store in Munster, situated in the Wilton Shopping Centre just outside Cork City.

The new 33,000 sq ft store, which has been acquired from Roches Stores, will open in Spring 2007.

All Roches Stores employees will transfer to positions at the new Marks & Spencer store, subject to TUPE regulations.

So far this year, Marks & Spencer has opened stores in Newbridge (April) and Drogheda (June), with a Tallaght store set to open in The Square Shopping Centre this November.

In 2005 Marks & Spencer took over two Roches Stores outlets located at Blackrock, Co Dublin and The Corrib Centre, Galway.
