The Ombudsman for Children is due to hold talks with the HSE later today after accusing the organisation of failing to co-operate with an investigation she is conducting.

Emily Logan is examining whether an audit of the Catholic Church's child protection practices was mishandled by the HSE and the Department of Health.

Earlier this week, she suspended the investigation, accusing the HSE of failing to co-operate and trying to bring the matter into the legal arena.

She says the organisation has failed to provide any of the documentation she has requested since she began the inquiry four months ago.
