A man is recovering this morning after he was shot in the leg during a paramilitary-style punishment attack in west Belfast last night.

A man is recovering this morning after he was shot in the leg during a paramilitary-style punishment attack in west Belfast last night.

The victim was dragged into a laneway in the Árd na Mona Gardens area of the city by a group of men before being shot in the leg.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
