Explosion outside British High Commission in Islamabad
There was a small explosion today in the parking area outside the British High Commission in Islamabad, Pakistan, but there were no reports of any damage or casualties, witnesses said.
A British official would not confirm or deny the incident. However, witnesses said a large number of police gathered around the High Commission compound.
Pakistani security forces have tightened security at the embassies of Western countries after the September 11 terrorist strikes in the United States and the US-led military campaign in Afghanistan.
