Two thirds of Irish people are making changes to their personal finances as a result of the recession, according to the Financial Regulator.

Two thirds of Irish people are making changes to their personal finances as a result of the recession, according to the Financial Regulator.

Almost half of respondents to a survey conducted by the regulator said they were budgeting more carefully, while one tenth said they had cut down on credit-card use.

A quarter of workers also said they had suffered a fall in income in the second half of 2008.
