Marco Botti is hoping Raymi Coya can develop into a Classic contender this term.

The Van Nistelrooy filly won a Newmarket Group Three on her final start last season and her trainer is aiming at a Classic trial before stepping up to Group One company.

“She has been wintering at Brook Stud in Cheveley before rejoining us this spring. She has put some weight on, thickened out and I am happy with her,” he told www.marcobotti.co.uk.

“We will prepare her for a trial – either the Nell Gwyn or the Fred Darling - with a view to then considering a shot at either the English or French 1000 Guineas.”

Raymi Coya won two of her four outings last term and was also placed in Listed company.
