Nico Rosberg may have secured pole position in Singapore today, but everyone was talking about the giant lizard that appeared at the Marina Bay street circuit.
Max Verstappen, who qualified in fourth today, earlier had a scare on the track as he spotted an unusual interloper.
The Red Bull driver was second fastest, just 0.059 sec behind Rosberg, during the final practice this morning despite being startled by a giant monitor lizard which ran across the track in front of him.
In the clip below, the Dutchman can be heard saying: "There’s a giant lizard on the track! I am not joking," over the team radio.
