Benedict Cumberbatch lends a hand to the refugee crisis by introducing this video by ‘Save the Children’ where he quotes a poem by a Somali-British writer Warsan Shire.
The Sherlock actor is seen to address the refugees after the poem telling them “we see you, we hear you and help is coming”.
The video release is in conjunction with the launch of a charity single “Help is coming” by Crowded House which hopes to raise much-needed funds for food, water, medicine, shelter and psychological support for refugee children.
At the moment there are 4 million Syrian refugees fleeing their home, the highest number of refugees since World War II.
