Rangers forward Peter Lovenkrands has turned down the chance to play for Italian giants Juventus.

The Serie A champions are reported to be ready to pay £8m (€12m) to land the Tennent’s Scottish Cup final hero ahead of this season’s Champions League campaign.

But the 22-year-old Danish international is looking to stay at Ibrox.

His agent Ivan Benes told the Daily Record: ‘‘A lot of big clubs have enquired about Peter over the summer, including Juventus.

‘‘However, Peter is not for sale. He is very happy at Rangers and he wants to stay there and prove himself.’’
