Man dies in overnight Co Kerry house fire

A man in his late 50s has died in a house fire in Co Kerry in the early hours of this morning.

A man in his late 50s has died in a house fire in Co Kerry in the early hours of this morning.

Two units of the fire brigade were called to the cottage in Duagh shortly before 4am, but the building was almost destroyed by the time they arrived.

The cause of the fire has not been determined by gardai are not treating it as suspicious.

The scene will be technically examined later today.
