Danilo di Luca held on to the overall lead after 18 stages of the Giro d'Italia after Alessandro Petacchi claimed his fourth win of the tour today.

Di Luco has a 2 minute 24 second lead over Andy Schleck, while Petacchi tops the sprint standings by 38 points.
