Labour propose bill to improve Europe accountability

A new bill that will allow for greater accountability from Irish Government Ministers in Europe is being launched by the Labour Party.

A new bill that will allow for greater accountability from Irish Government Ministers in Europe is being launched by the Labour Party.

The EU bill will force Irish Ministers to keep the Oireachtas updated on the decisions and policies that are being made in European Union bodies.

The Labour Party believes that the proposed legislation will also make Ministers more accountable for their European duties.
