Rescue teams today spotted the wreckage of a plane that disappeared into Peru’s high mountain jungle nearly two days ago with 46 people, including eight children, on board.

Rescue teams today spotted the wreckage of a plane that disappeared into Peru’s high mountain jungle nearly two days ago with 46 people, including eight children, on board.

Air force Col Juan Rodriguez said rescue helicopters found the wreckage on the side of a 11,000-foot (3,351-metre) high mountain, 400 miles (650 kilometres) north of Lima.
