A raft of new measures to clamp down on irresponsible driving will be unveiled this week.

A raft of new measures to clamp down on irresponsible driving will be unveiled this week.

Transport Minister Noel Dempsey has approved proposals from the Road Safety Authority.

Some of the elements expected to feature include putting a 'speed limiter' on the cars of learner drivers who break the rules, and making lessons with a qualified instructor compulsory for anyone going through driver training.
