Li-Lo enters rehab

Lindsay Lohan has checked into rehab.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star checked into Pickford Lofts sober living facility – founded by her Los Angeles lawyer Robert Shapiro – yesterday and has been visited friend Eilat Anschel and ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

Shapiro founded the home, which is described as a “safe haven so that those in all stages of recovery can develop skills that will aid them in their journey of sobriety”, after his son Brent died of substance abuse.

Lindsay is due to start a 90-day jail term for breaching her probation next week and her stint in the facility has been speculated as a last-ditch attempt to avoid prison.

However, prosecutor Danette Meyers thinks it will be in vain.

She told RadarOnline.com: “It’s really a moot point to ask Judge Revel to send Ms. Lohan to rehab only as Judge Revel has already sentenced her.

“Ms. Lohan is going to jail... Judge Revel could have sentenced her to more time behind bars, but she didn’t.

“The only issue to be decided is what rehabilitation facility Ms. Lohan will be sent to after she serves her jail time.”

Lindsay was sentenced to 90 days in prison for violating her probation terms from her 2007 case for driving under the influence. She will also serve 90 days in rehab following her jail time.
