The ISEQ index of Irish shares slipped into the red this morning falling 3.77 points to 6802.83.
The financials week got off to a mixed start. AIB rose 19c to €17.55 and Bank of Ireland rose 13c to €13.15. However, Irish Life and Permanent plumeted 30c to €15.25 and Anglo Irish Bank fell 8c to €11.15.
Drinks company C&C suffered one of the heaviest losses of the day, alling 22c to €4.97, almost 5%.
Construction company CRH rose 14c to €22.70.
Low-budget airline Ryanair fell 4c to €7.33.
