Dublin star Ciaran Whelan is likely to be fit in time for the Metropolitans' clash with Louth at Croke Park on June 1.

Dublin star Ciaran Whelan is likely to be fit in time for the Metropolitans' clash with Louth at Croke Park on June 1.

The ace midfielder has been struggling with a shoulder injury, but believes he'll be back in time.

Whelan said: "The shoulder was sore and I have been attending physio in an effort to get it right, but I think I'm over the worst of it."
