The second of the day's opinion polls has brought good news for Fine Gael with a rise of four percentage points to 37%.

The second of the day's opinion polls has brought good news for Fine Gael with a rise of four percentage points to 37%.

The Red C poll, which surveyed 1,000 people by telephone over the last three days, shows Fianna Fáil up two points to 18%.

The Greens are unchanged at 3%, while Labour, Sinn Féin and Independents all suffer falls in popularity.

The poll follows on from the last Red C poll published at the weekend.
