Thieving stowaway caught red-handed in bus

A Polish contortionist who was stealing from people's suitcases on a bus has been caught out.

Krzysztof Grzegorz used to hide out in his friend's luggage and be put underneath an airport transfer bus, from where he could sneak out and steal holidaymakers' possessions during the trip from Girona airport to Barcelona city centre.

The crime would leave passengers stumped as to the whereabouts of items such as laptops and jewellery when they reached the Spanish city.

The cunning 29-year-old Pole's plan came unstuck one day when his pal failed to pick him up, leaving him in the case underneath the bus to get caught in the act.

Airport officials called police when they discovered the suspicious suitcase, which they opened up to reveal Grzegorz holding an electrical device.
