Ten arrested in Dundalk

Ten men are due in court in Co Louth later following an incident in Dundalk in which two gardai were hospitalised with head injuries.

Ten men are due in court in Co Louth later following an incident in Dundalk in which two gardai were hospitalised with head injuries.

The incident, which is being described as serious by gardai, happened outside a pub on Earl Street in the town.

The ten, aged between 16 and 22, were arrested and taken to Dundalk garda station.

They are due before Ardee District Court later on charges relating to assault and public order offences.
