AIB: No plan to pass on ECB rates cut

AIB has confirmed that it will not pass on today's ECB rate cut to its variable mortgage customers.

AIB has confirmed that it will not pass on today's ECB rate cut to its variable mortgage customers.

In a statement, the bank said its current variable rate of 3% is still the lowest in the market and is significantly below that of its nearest competitor.

However, it said the variable rate at EBS remains "under review".
