SIPTU supports anti-war work stoppage

SIPTU has come out in support of a nationwide 10-minute work stoppage tomorrow to protest at US/British plans to launch a unilateral war on Iraq in the coming days.

SIPTU has come out in support of a nationwide 10-minute work stoppage tomorrow to protest at US/British plans to launch a unilateral war on Iraq in the coming days.

The union said the imminent war is unjustified and will only serve to weaken the United Nations.

General secretary Joe Flynn said: "A single superpower cannot decide on its own authority to be the police-person of the world."
