The body of a woman has been recovered from the sea off the Co Galway coast.

The body of a woman has been recovered from the sea off the Co Galway coast.

Gardaí believe the remains are those of 26-year-old Kathleen Davitt, who had been reported missing from her home in Galway city a week ago.

Investigating officers are not treating the death as suspicious.
