The Czech Republic's Prime Minister has said that the result of the Nice referendum means that Irish people are against enlargement.

Milos Zeman's comments come despite reassurances from the Taoiseach that Ireland is committed to the enlargement process.

He believes the clear message from the Irish people is that they do not want the Czech Republic as a fellow member of the EU.
