The Adare Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course which opened in 1995 and is set on the 840 acre estate of Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort in Co Limerick, Ireland. This majestic design has gained international acclaim as one of Trent Jones’ finest creations.

These 230 acres of lush Irish countryside will play host to the Irish Open for the next three years. Situated only 35 miles from Shannon Airport, the Adare Golf Club measures 7,125 although a newly extended yardage will be in place for this year’s Irish Open. It’s a proud time for Golf in Limerick and a chance for Adare Manor to showcase the unquestionable class of the golf course.

The exquisite parkland atmosphere of the demesne has been preserved with the course set amid magnificent mature trees. The course contains many aquatic features including a 14 acre man made lake anchoring the front nine holes. The River Maigue meanders through the entire golf course creating a sense of beauty and challenge.

Naturally the manor house provides a spectacular backdrop but no diversion can hide you from the constant barrage of quality golf holes.

Holes 2, 7, 14 and 18 are golf holes of the highest possible standard. However, the 13th hole deserves extra special mention. It’s the best hole on the course and one of the best in World Golf. The irony is that for a golf course so abundantly blessed with views of the Manor, lakes and rivers no such vista graces the 13th hole. A long par four dog legging left to right through a tunnel of various tree specimens the 13th is bordering on golfing perfection.
