Chris Coleman was proud of Fulham’s “grit and courage” after they hit back from two goals down last night to beat Leicester 4-3 and seal a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The half-time introduction of Vincenzo Montella proved the turning point, the Italian striker scoring his first two goals since completing a loan move from Roma.
Wayne Routledge sealed the victory with a solo effort deep into injury time, the perfect tonic for Coleman, who had spent the previous 24 hours in hospital suffering from tonsillitis.
“There is a definite feeling in the camp that we have more minerals, more grit, more courage. There are lots of legs in the team,” said Coleman.
