Four hospitalised after separate Kilkee accidents

Four people have been airlifted to hospital following two separate incidents in Kilkee, Co Clare, this afternoon.

Four people have been airlifted to hospital following two separate incidents in Kilkee, Co Clare, this afternoon.

A woman in her 60s is being treated at University Hospital Galway for suspected broken ribs after falling from the pier at around 1.30pm today.

Meanwhile, three divers from Limerick have suffered injury after they made a rapid ascent Kilkee Bay this afternoon.

There are currently hundreds of people in the West Clare town for the annual Kilkee Bay swim which takes place at 4pm today.
