Shamrock Rovers and UCD go head-to-head in tonight’s televised eircom League of Ireland Premier Division clash, at Tolka Park (kick off 8pm).

Long-term casualties Paul Shiels and Aidan Price remain sidelined for Rovers, but Eric McGill, Barry Murphy and Derek Pender are back in training.

David Cassidy will miss tonight’s game as he is suspended.

“Both Barry and Derek have a chance of being involved in the game against UCD, while Eric is building slowly after a long time out,” said Hoops boss Pat Scully.

“We'll be without Stephen O'Brien and Mark Langtry for a couple of weeks, but overall our injury situation is improving, although we'll avoid bringing anyone back too soon.”

He added: “It's a little bit of a banana skin for us. They've got good players, but always seem to play without expectations, which is quite a contrast to Shamrock Rovers.

“We are a club with enormous expectations, but the players are used to that now.

“We want to be in the shake-up at the end of the season, so every game is important. We'll certainly be going out to try and win this game and get another three points.”

Paul Crowley is suspended for the Students, however, Conan Byrne should return to Pete Mahon’s side.

Pat McWalter is remains out injured and will miss tonight’s trip to Tolka Park.
