Cat's cameo role in TV soap
Cat Deeley is to make a cameo appearance in Hollyoaks as the woman who tempts heartthrob Finn to head off for pastures new.
Finn, played by James Redmond, is quitting the soap after three years and will bid a fond farewell in Friday's episode.
He will be seen heading off for a new life accompanied by Deeley, with whom he currently co-presents Saturday morning's SM:tv.
Redmond, who plays the free-spirited Finn, says he has enjoyed playing the character but felt the time was right to move on to new things.
"Finn takes a philosophical view of life and he came to Hollyoaks with no ties," he said.
"Suddenly he realises that he has built up a life of responsibility and joined the rat race, something he had always managed to avoid.
"He's a bloke after my own heart really. I loved playing the character - he knows how to make the most out of life."
