More than 57,000 students across the country are due to receive the results of their Junior Cert exams this morning.
More than half a million individual grades are being handed out.
The number of As in Higher and Ordinary Level Irish has increased slightly, but maths students were less likely to achieve an A grade this year compared to 2006.
A grades have also fallen in Higher Level English, but the number of top grades at ordinary level is up on last year.
Any students who are unhappy with their results can appeal them through their school at a cost of €30.
