Galway club Killererin will receive a final verdict on their fight to be reinstated in the county SFC later this week.

Galway club Killererin will receive a final verdict on their fight to be reinstated in the county SFC later this week.

Killererin, home to county stars Padraig and Tommie Joyce, were thrown out for refusing to play extra-time in their tie with Carraroe.

They have already had appeals turned down by the Galway football board and the Connacht Council.

But last Thursday Croke Park officials rapped the Galway board for failing to follow proper procedure and agreed to a final hearing to settle the dispute which is expected to take place later this week.
