Didier Zokora wants revenge for last month’s defeat to Arsenal, to prove a personal point as well as help Tottenham reach the final of the Carling Cup.
The 26-year-old featured last month when Spurs lost on their Emirates Stadium debut, a 3-0 defeat that has proved one of the low points of a season that sees Martin Jol’s men still competing in four competitions.
They host rivals Arsenal tomorrow in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final, with Zokora set to deputise for Teemu Tainio after the Finland midfielder sprained an ankle against Fulham at the weekend.
Jol’s summer signing from St Etienne has been inconsistent this season. He was not helped by a recurrence of malaria and has made only one start since losing the ball in the build-up to Liverpool’s winner at White Hart Lane three weeks ago.
