Single vehicle accident in Co Cavan claims one victim

A 21-year-old man was killed at about 9.30pm last night when the motorcycle he was driving went out of control and crashed into a ditch at Bilis, near Ballyjamesduff, in Co Cavan.

A 21-year-old man was killed at about 9.30pm last night when the motorcycle he was driving went out of control and crashed into a ditch at Bilis, near Ballyjamesduff, in Co Cavan.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and he was then removed to Cavan General Hospital.

A post-mortem examination is to be carried out on the body later today.

The youth’s name has not yet been released by the Gardai who want to inform all his relatives first.
