Age Action Ireland are today holding a phone-in to coincide with the UN's international day on ageing.

Members of the public who feel that they have been discriminated against because of their age are being asked to call in to recount their experiences.

The move is part of a drive to include older people in work, training and education opportunities.

Chief Executive of the group Robin Webster maintains that negative attitudes need to be challenged, especially in the workplace.

If you have any queries or recounts of discrimination, the number to call is 1800 317 417.

The line will be open from 10am to 5pm for the rest of the month.
