A crowd of 22,235 watched Waterford capture their first NHL title since 1963 following an epic final at Semple Stadium in Thurles today.
The Deise led by 0-11 to 0-9 at the interval, although the sides were level on nine occasions.

Late points from Eoin Kelly and Seamus Prendergast ensured a memorable victory for their side with Michael Walsh the winning captain.
