The 93-year-old died yesterday morning at Mayo General Hospital , surrounded by her family.

Speaking after Fine Gael's presidential dinner last night, a tearful Enda Kenny said he wanted a celebration of a life long-lived.

Eithne Kenny's remains will be reposing at Coady's Funeral Home in Castlebar from 4pm this afternoon.

Her removal will take place at 8pm tonight to the Church of the Holy Rosary, where her funeral mass will be con-celebrated tomorrow morning at 11am.

Burial will take place afterwards in Islandeady Cemetery.
