Sussex Stakes hero Ramonti is on course for Sunday’s Prix du Moulin after catching the eye in a piece of work in Newmarket on Wednesday.
Godolphin’s tough five-year-old already has two Group Ones in the bag this term but faces stiff competition at Longchamp from the likes of George Washington, Astronomer Royal and Darjina.
“Ramonti definitely runs in the Moulin on Sunday,” confirmed Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford.
“He’s in good form and had a good blow (on Wednesday morning).
“This race has always been the plan since he won the Sussex Stakes.”
In addition to George Washington and French 2000 Guineas scorer Astronomer Royal, Aidan O’Brien plans to add Archipenko to his Moulin squad.
The Ballydoyle handler told the Racing Post: “George Washington and Astronomer Royal will run in the Prix du Moulin and it is almost certain that we will supplement Archipenko.
“We haven’t finalised riding plans just yet.”
