New guides for children in care

Children in foster or residential care are to receive copies of two books explaining the standard of care they should expect.

Children in foster or residential care are to receive copies of two books explaining the standard of care they should expect.

The books, which were commissioned by the Department of Health and written by a children's author, are being sent to 4,500 children across the country.

It is part of an initiative designed to involve children in setting the standards for residential and foster care.
