The Federation of Small Businesses, the North’s largest business organisation, have launched FSB Care.

The service is intended to support small business owners in the North and across the UK who are struck down by serious illnesses.

FSB Care will provide access to a personal nurse adviser who will provide practical information and emotional support for as long as needed.

They can arrange a home visit by a specialist nurse to answer questions, allay fears, and help identify issues to be raised when seeing a consultant.

Alternatively they can arrange a course of therapy, including physio, occupational, speech or complementary, depending on needs. Otherwise they can take a course of specialist counselling.

The user will also have access to a network of specialist charities and self-help groups.
