Police in the North have arrested three people following the discovery of firearms and cannabis during a series of raids in Co Antrim.

Police in the North have arrested three people following the discovery of firearms and cannabis during a series of raids in Co Antrim.

The PSNI says the raids were carried out as part of an ongoing investigation into serious crime in the area.

A number of guns were seized along with around €147,000 worth of cannabis during searches in Ballymena and Larne.

British Army bomb experts assisted the PSNI during the operation, but no explosives were found.
