Labour youth fear increases in election spending

Election spending will head up the agenda at the Labour youth executive meeting in Kilkenny later today.

Election spending will head up the agenda at the Labour youth executive meeting in Kilkenny later today.

The Chairperson of the Labour youth, Aine Morris, says that she intends travelling the length and breadth of the country to campaign against Government plans to increase the limit on election spending by 50%.

She believes that smaller parties and independent representatives would lose out if the limit were to be increased because they cannot form strong links with businesses.
