Oasis singer Liam Gallagher was tight-lipped tonight as he arrived at Heathrow Airport following allegations that he was involved in a brawl.
The star flew back to Britain after he had his two front teeth knocked out in a nightclub scuffle at the weekend.
The band had already postponed two shows in the aftermath of the Munich punch up which led to Liam and four of the band’s entourage being arrested.
And today they pulled out of two further shows they were due to play in the next few days in Dusseldorf and Bremen.
A statement on behalf of the band said: “Following the events of last weekend Oasis have reluctantly taken the decision to postpone the remaining dates on their German tour.
“The damage to Liam’s teeth is worse than it first appeared and he will have to return to the UK for surgery before he will be able to perform again.”
Gallagher arrived with fellow band member Alan White and was flanked by a number of minders as they were whisked through arrivals past waiting photographers and into two waiting people-carriers with tinted windows.
The singer, usually known for his outspoken behaviour, had his mouth firmly shut and made no comment when asked how he felt or about the band’s future.
Dressed in a smart long winter black coat and tartan scarf he looked unruffled and unmarked by the encounter.
Police say the wildman singer kicked one of their officers “with full force” in the chest in the scuffle.
A police statement said five people were arrested: “Three band members and two of their security people. They were accused of dangerous bodily harm, resisting police, damage to property and disturbing the peace.”
At 10.45pm Gallagher’s black Chrysler sped into the driveway of his semi-detached home in Hampstead, North London, scattering the small group of photographers and reporters who were waiting for him to return.
The people carrier’s sliding doors with their blacked-out windows opened and the Oasis star, wearing a black jacket and grey check scarf, dashed in through the front door without saying a word, just 45 minutes after his flight from Munich landed.
