A suicide car bomber rammed into a fuel truck today in central Baghdad, killing at least 11 people, police said.

A suicide car bomber rammed into a fuel truck today in central Baghdad, killing at least 11 people, police said.

Some 28 others were wounded by the blast, which happened around 1.15pm (1015 BST) in the mostly Shiite Muslim Karradah district, police said. The death toll was expected to rise, they said.

Two Iraqi soldiers were among the dead, police said.
