Hundreds of third-level students are marching on the Dail today to protest over inadequate grants.

The current grant stands at £49 per week, which student groups say is not even enough for rent alone.

Union of Students in Ireland President, Julian de Spainn, said most students work part-time to earn extra money, with their studies suffering as a result.
