Survey reveals volunteers are 'happier'

New research by Volunteer Ireland shows that 98% of people involved in volunteering claims it makes them "a happier person".

New research by Volunteer Ireland shows that 98% of people involved in volunteering claims it makes them "a happier person".

Up to 60% of those who volunteer say they do it to contribute to the community, while almost 40% hope it will add experience to their CV.

Ireland's first National Volunteering Week, which takes place in mid-May, is being launched today.
