Enterprise Minister Batt O'Keeffe is set to give in to the IDA's demands for more staff.
It has been calling for an urgent staffing boost in order to deal with the unemployment crisis.
Positions were lost at the IDA in recent times as a recruitment embargo was imposed and many staff contracts were not renewed in a bid to cut costs.
However, last night Minister O'Keeffe said he accepted the agency's argument for increased resources and would provide funding for such later this week.
