Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has dismissed suggestions that he is deliberately avoiding the media spotlight in order to boost his party's support.
Critics have accused Mr Kenny of hiding himself away in recent weeks, as his party surges in the opinion polls.
But the Fine Gael leader has denied he is shying away from the media, telling reporters today he had conducted numerious interviews with local, national and international media in recent weeks.
"Anybody who contacted me, I talked to them," Deputy Kenny said.
