AIB Rugby: Carlow beaten by Galwegians

Former Irish international out-half Eric Elwood kicked 17 points of his side's total as Galwegians and defeated Co Carlow to go above the Oak Park club in Division One of the AIL.

Former Irish international out-half Eric Elwood kicked 20 points of his side's total as Galwegians and defeated Co Carlow to go above the Oak Park club in Division One of the AIL.

Galwegians led throughout the game and with Elwood orchestrating the play, established a commanding interval lead of 23-8.

Co Carlow rallied in the second half but with wind advantage, Galwegians were always in control.

Galwegians took five points with Carlow taking a bonus point from the game.
