Bomb blast outside Madrid convention centre

A car bomb exploded at the entrance to a Madrid convention centre that was to be officially opened by the Spanish royal family today.

A car bomb exploded at the entrance to a Madrid convention centre that was to be officially opened by the Spanish royal family today.

A Basque newspaper received a warning from terror group Eta shortly before the blast.

Police said there were a number of injuries. None were believed to be serious.
